This is the stage when pension issues relating to retirees from State Bank of India stand miserably scattered moving from one court to another with all of them fixing up their own dates in a varying order and they have become so complicated that the relative pensioners find it quite problematic to comprehend them. The need is actually to prepare a concise summary of all the cases pending at different levels and stages to facilitate the retiree pensioners to go through them at a glance. This is a difficult task and, as I think, the job can better be done by KR Saini, a veteran on the topic, and I am earnestly requesting him through this post to spare some time for the purpose doing the needful. The summary of the cases so prepared by him shall be published in this blog for the information of all concerned. I felt prompted to make this request to him by a query raised by HRK Prasad about whom there already appeared a post in this blog on his heroic initiative under the title Pension issue in SBI -If top authorities could wake up. He raised a pertinent query reading like this:
One of my recent comment is purely out of frustration.
Inspite of court direction to pay 100% Da with arrears, IBA and GOI has not cared
to respect the court decisions which is really alarming. What is the latest news
in respect of neutralisation and updation of pension to pre 2002 retirees. Is there any progress In 10th BPS implementation. When is the next hearing. Is UFBU is in
favour of pensioners demands. Please post a line of reply.Thanks. Prasad”.
This query was replied but it was not quite a categorical one. The reply is given below for the information of the readers:
- “Lot many demands raised on pension issue at different levels are confusingly intermixed assuming most grotesque a shape and at times it becomes difficult to isolate one single point in an exclusive measure, and that holds good in respect of the dates varying from one individual case to another in a mixed sequence. The points so relevantly raised by you are very much there in the package read in its totality. Your frustration is fully justified but after all the pensioners are at the receiving end and they have no option but to wait till there is some silver lining traced out of the blue. I request you not to abandon the patience. People hold you in high esteem because of your sacrificing background”
I may have to wait for the consent of KR Saini for undertaking the task and the needful shall be done on hearing from him.
