Why Rahul Gandhi took a U-turn?

Nothing new, his mother Sonia Gandhi too did the same thing when Congress wanted to make her the Prime Minister of the country. She refused the offer actually based on personal reasons which action was highlighted by her followers as a great sacrifice. This aspect is elaborately narrated in a post on this blog with the link:

The entire family circle of Sonia Gandhi was in panic after assassination of Rajiv Gandhi and was not prepared to take any risk further, hence a decision of herself not accepting the position of Indian Prime Minister and there was nothing like any sacrifice on her part as her party men tried to project. Exactly similar is the position in the case of Rahul Gandhi who initially consented to get projected as a prime ministerial candidate of the Congress Party but his mother Sonia Gandhi vetoed the proposal down and this she had to do because of her party being in a political coma with every chance of losing the elections due shortly if the mood of the masses is any indication. Narendra Modi is correct in saying that no mother may ever take the risk of her son losing in the battle. Knowing fully well that the prospects of winning the elections are just so bleak for the Congress, Sonia Gandhi did the vetoing causing  a U-turn for Rahul Gandhi. It’s good, at least at the moment, that the Congress loyalists have not yet projected Rahul Gandhi as a sacrificer like it was done earlier in Sonia Gandhi’s case.

The waitress, is a cat’s paw. Beneath is a link, that within the comments section. Has the opinion of the blog owner, Captain Ajit Vadakyil about Sonia pasted. A person has to look for it. He has also written a few blogs about her previously. The whole Gandhi family seem to be hungry for power and wealth. The notion that they are doing anything for the good of the people of India? Well that’s up to those people of India. Yet i remind those good people. “Once bitten, twice shy”!

I respect the blog of Captain Ajit. He seems very wise.

Right from the day when India got independence, this (Nehru turned Gandhi) family has been taking benefits of all sort and making mockery of democracy. They are getting elected in the name of dynasty which, unfortunate as it is, also exhibits that a sizable number of our electorate decide along reasons other than performance or merit. This is root cause of mushrooming of political dynasties across all political spectrum turning them into family outfits, barring cadre based parties viz. leftists and rightists. If emergence of Narendra Modi is able to outsmart these self-appointed messiahs, it will be great service to the cause of democracy in India.

It is very true that whole Gandhi family is hungry of power & wealth as hirundine608 says in his comment but I think this much of adjective is not up to the mark. Although to have lust of power & wealth is human nature but it should be with in certified norms and perhaps this norms has thrown away by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.

Sir… In my opinion the Congress do not need to declare any one as a PM candidate as it can not think to survive without the Nehru Gandhi family… Whoever deserted the congress and scanned Nehru’s had no option but went for banishment. It seems that Mr Rahul Gandhi is preparing for 2019 instead of 2014..
